Funerals
Family or friends usually ask a local funeral director to make the funeral arrangements on their behalf, but you are welcome to contact the Vicar directly, if you wish.
If someone you know and love has died, our clergy and Lay Minister are available to lead the funeral in one of our churches or churchyards, at a local cemetery, or at a crematorium.
When someone dies, there's so much to think about and so much to organise. We understand how difficult this can be, so we can help you say your final goodbye in a way that really helps.
We will be there to support you every step of the way.

Burials
All our churchyards are open for new burials and the interment of ashes.
The following people have a right to be buried in our churchyards:
Permission may be given by the Vicar for the burial or interment of the cremated remains of such a person, for example, if the deceased person had lived in the parish for many years and had only moved away for reasons of age or health.

Memorials
There are rules governing memorials and headstones which apply to all churches in the Diocese of Chelmsford. For more information, please download the Diocese of Chelmsford Churchyard Handbook.
