United Charities

United Charities is a long-established local charity, formed over 60 years ago, through the coming together of five charities with shared aims.

Its purpose is to provide financial support prior to Christmas to those suffering severe financial hardship for residents within the ancient parish of Theydon Bois.

United Charities is governed by a board of trustees nominated by St Mary’s Church Theydon Bois, Theydon Bois Baptist Church, Theydon Bois Parish Council, Epping Town Council, and Epping Forest District Council.

As a small charity, we work within a modest budget. For this reason, up to 10 individual grants are usually granted per annum, of between £50 and £80.  Priority will be given to new applicants.

The application window opens on 1st September and closes on 31st October each year.

The application will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees, who will consider and decide on each request. You will be notified of the outcome using the contact details you provide.
